The referral is an indirect homage to the value and the quality of these products. Its reputation has gone beyond the name and the products they make.
Insulation materials like the mineral wool insulation materials, the glass mineral wool, blowing wool, wood wool, and products from extruded polystyrene have made its name.
New addition
Of late, the company’s line of products has been expanded with the new addition of a new range of green solutions. This includes an innovative, lightweight and easy-to-install system with high water retention capacity designed specifically for green roofs, landscapes and horticulture.
Another new product is the Earthwool, the new generation of super-soft and highly sustainable glasswool. Among its notable qualities is that it is thermally efficient and cost effective in saving energy and providing comfort in buildings.
Non-combustible / noise reducer
It is non-combustible, and actually reduces unwanted noise from outside of the homes and limits the sound transmission from room to room. This is regarded as the new benchmark for insulation sustainability and ease of handling. The materials used are recycled glass bottles, sand and under the ECOSE Technology from Knauf.
The Earthwool Wall and Ceiling Batts has been a cost-effective thermal and acoustical barrier for energy-efficient construction. This can be used in timber and metal frame applications in residential structures.
The applications ionlcude thermal and acoustical treatments to walls, cilings and floors wherever they are used. They are available in a wide of sizes and R-values.
ECOSE Technology
The technology had provided a formaldehyde-free product base on renewable materials compared to those of petro-based chemicals which is 70% less energy-efficient. The new product had been developed with environmental credentials that does not affect thermal, acoustice or fire performance.
It has no dye or artificial colors because the color is all-natural.
Knauf products
The atmosphere and duct board and the duct wrap are used to make rectangular duct systems, with butt edges. The airstream surface prevents bacteria, mold and fungi growth.
The black acoustical board is heavy-density glass mineral wool board insulation. The black overspray provides a smooth tough finish.
The Knauf insulation board is a thermal and acoustical insulation product bonded with ECOSE technology. It is available plain or with a factory-applied FSK facing or with a factory-applied all-service jacket.
The Earthwool Redi-Klad pipe insulation is a multi-purpose, molded, heavy-density, one-piece insulation. It is designed fro both indoor and outdoor installations. It comes with the factory-applied 5-ply weather and abuse-resistant jacketing with self-sealing lap.
The Eco-batt insulation is a binder that was the result of five years intensive research on rapidly renewable bio-based materials. It does not contain phenol.
Finally, the Elevated Temperature Panel 1000° with ECOSE® Technology is a semi-rigid thermal insulation board (2.4 pcf, 38.4 kg/m3) bonded with ECOSE Technology.
